Alec Day
Alec Day is a mechanical engineer specializing in the design and development of advanced aerospace systems and precision instrumentation. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from the University of Sydney, Alec’s research focused on advancing high-fidelity atom probe tomography through innovative instrument design.
Through various startup companies, Alec has gained extensive experience in mechanical design, analysis, and development across a diverse range of engineering disciplines. His work spans spacecraft structures, thermal control systems, ultra-high vacuum and cryogenic assemblies, and autonomous flight vehicles. In addition, Alec has implemented best practices for design for manufacture, part traceability, and engineering standardization, demonstrating versatility across both aerospace and precision instrumentation industries.
